April Art To Inspiration

Title: 2 years, 264 days and this morning

Artist: Pakayla Beihn

It is the first week of April and time to celebrate the Art to Inspiration project, the blogger collaboration started by Supal of Chevrons and Eclairs.

Some of the things I enjoy most about this project are:

1. Learning about new, contemporary artists

2. The opportunity to express creativity in a unique way

3. Watching the Art to Inspiration community grow and meeting new friends

4. The diverse inspirations that are the end result of the project

On to the April ATI…….

I was thrilled to view this beautiful piece by Pakayla Beihn.  The double exposed image feels very fitting for Spring with it’s vibrant colors and feminine tone. The female image with the overlay of gorgeous flowers immediately reminded me of a floral headdress.  There is just something lovely about delicate, creamy flowers setting off the complexion.  Here are some that I think are spectacular:

Those headpieces are all so fun! Makes me wish it was summer so I could go make one myself.

These are too cool – I don’t think I’ve seen any of these before! The Kate Spade and Free People headdresses are especially awesome. They really go PERFECTLY with the Art to Inspiration painting! LOVE IT!

What a fantastic display of imagery – makes me so happy – and reminds me of Frida Kahlo! Loved this month’s art work, too!
